Molloy Joinery use laminates from suppliers including Laminex, Formica, Wilsonart, Prime, and Duropal which are the entry-level cost-effective benchtop material of choice.
Through a combination of paper layers bonded by resin, pressed onto an MDF substrate, and heat-treated, laminate offers a wide range of customizable edge details.
Laminate offers cutting-edge features such as photorealistic marble effects, lifelike timber grain finishes, and enhanced durability with fingerprint resistance, scratch resistance, and antibacterial silver infusion.
Acrylic Solid Surface benchtops are our high-end benchtops of choice from suppliers of Himacs, Staron, Infinity, Tavolo, and Durasein. Made from 12mm thick acrylic resin, they are able to be made in all manner of custom shapes and profiles.
Acrylic is the most versatile of materials. Molloy Joinery can create any shaped edge profile you could think of! Make an entire curved wall as it has thermo-forming capabilities, or join it around that load-bearing beam and still have completely invisible joins, unlike engineered stone.
Unlike stone, Acrylic is also repairable, non-porous, and will absorb the current room temperature.
